I think it means that they are lying when they say that no child will be left behind in the U.S. but it is not true because schools are aready full enough with about 30 students per teacher and also I agree with the author

  5. I think the cartoonist is trying to say that the person is telling lies. I disagree with the author because of child protection services and the witness protection and agencies like that always never leave children behind.

  6. I think that the cartoonist is trying to say tha every time the speaker opens his mouth, he lies. I dont know who the speaker is so I cant say if I agree or not, but I know from my parents and other adults talking, that the no child left behind isnt a very good program

The author is saying that Bush has lied. I do think Bush is lying because he lying each time with whatever he says and he has lied about No Child Left behind because I don't have a teacher who can help me understand everything in all of my classes. Also the weapons because they did not find weapons.

I think what the cartoon are trying to say
is that every thing they are saying its a lie.like george bush he lie about every word he said. i dont agree when the author says "no child behind"because a lot of kids had die.

  21. The cartoon is tryna say that Bush is a liar, everytime he says something his nose gets bigger and the biggest lie was that "No child is left behind" I also believe "no child left behind" is a lie because if a child doesnt ask for help and he fails a test, a teacher doesnt help unless he/she asks for the help and that way children are being left behind(there is a lot more ways that I could prove that children ARE left behind too.

  22. i think the cartoon is tring to say that you cant trust geore bush because on e time he say something and then he swiches it up and says anthother thing.like at first they were talking about weapons then they were talking about how there leaving no child behind.

I believe the author is trying to show how much Bush was lying during is 8 years as president. I agree with this article because Bush did many stupid things to this nation including lying to us.

Hahaha, this made me laugh really hard. For one it's ex-president Bush and all the lies he spread around to the people of the United States, and because of the cartoon. Anyways, I agree with the authors opinion because Bush lied about so many things and this cartoon basically describes what Bush looks like. Pinocchio.

The cartoonist is trying to tell lies in this cartoon and every time he tells a lie, his nose gets bigger each time. I agree with the author because Bush had told some lies and made mistakes while he was the President Of The United States.

  27. I think the author is trying to say that prisedent bush was lying when he said we will leave no child behind because some of the other things he said were not true.

  28. I think the author is trying to tell the reader that President Bush was promising things and claiming things and they all turned out to be lies. For example, he claimed that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, which after years of war were never found. He also said that there was no warning that the New Orleans levees would fail. But documents released by Congress show that two days before Hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans the White House received damage forecasts from Homeland Security officials predicting that the city's levees might be overtopped. I agree with the author’s opinion of Bush being a liar. I think he told the American public those things to scare us and make excuses for the problems going on.

----The cartoonist is trying to state that Bush has lied to everybody about everything during the 8 years of his presidency. I agree with the author because why would you lie about Osama Bin Laden and about no child being left behind. They are referring him as Pinocchio because Pinocchio was a liar too.

The cartoonist is trying to say that Saddam wasnt lying he wasn't trying to build a nuclear Bomb. And that he didnt do anything. Because its like pinocchio his nose get's bigger everytime he says a lie

-The cartoonist trying to say that Bush was doing things he wasnt suppose to do while he was still president.I agree with the author's opinion because Bush did lied about some stuff he promised so he's just like pinocchio.

The cartoonist is trying to say that the government does not tell the truth. According to the cartoon the person says something but every time, his nonse grow bigger. Just like in Pinoccio, he was lying and his nose grew. Even nowadays. The president might say something like "free health care for everyone" but he only gave it to those who had to clean up the 9/11 disaster because of their health state

It is really a lying cartoon. The author is telling a lie. At first, I paid much attention to the words he says but not the expressions of the cartoonist (he is Bush). As we can see, the cartoonist’s nose becomes longer and longer. And we also know that long nose suggests someone tells a lie. In addition, the words he said is not convincing, right? For example, in the third picture it reads Saddam and Al Qaeda
(a very famous terrorism organization lead by Bin Laden) worked together. He is the former president of Iraq but is there any evidence that can prove they worked together. It is only the excuse that Bush wants to find to attack Iraq. Take the fifth picture for another example; he says a wiretap requires the court order, as we know he was the president at that time, if he wanted to fix a wiretap, did he need to ask the court for permission? No, definitely not. So all he tells is lying.

  34. He tells us that things Bush says is a lie. He is refering Bush to Pinocchio because in the movie, whenever he says a lie, his nose becomes bigger and bigger But a persons nose cannot grow every time they lie. So he is saying that he is lying about certain things.

I think the cartoon is George Bush. He is referring Bush to Pinocchio because Pinocchio's nose grew every time he lied. So Its trying to tell us that whatever George Bush said something that it was a lie. I agree with the cartoon because George Bush did some bad stuff that didn't help us at all.

  36. I'm not exactly sure on who the character in the comic is trying to portay but i know for sure this person is lying. Every lie that is told has the persons nose getting bigger/longer. I agree with the author even though the statements were opinions the pictures told how and why.

  37. I think the cartoon is showing that George Bush was lying with most of his major statements.I agree that he was not always truthful with statements. No child being left behind was a good attempt. Some classes are boring because they are easy and others are boring because they are hard and I give up. Its easy to be left alone

The author is trying to say that the character is lying about everything that he said. I agree with the author opinion because Saddam wasn't creating a nuclear wepon, it was Osama bin Laden. And there are some child that are not in school or "left behind".

  39. Everything the guy is saying is a lie because, like the cartoon pinocchio everytime he lied his nose grew longer just like the guy in the comic.

I think that the comic represent Bush and the government in general. The author is implying that the government lies too much about these issues. He implied this by making his nose bigger like in pinnochio. I agree with the author's message because the government do lie about those subjects. Like how they keep many information about suddam and the no child left behind because children are getting left behind in school systems. We care too much about doing well for the standardized test and not on what students really need like logical thinking and learning how to manage their feelings.

  41. I think that the article is trying to explain that the goverment doesn't want us to know the truth.I think they are just trying to trick us. In my opinion the goverment Is evil and they think that were gullible to not realize wut they are doing.

  42. The author is talking about how George Bush was hiding things from the American citizens that he shouldn't have. I think that if George Bush had been truthful then Muslims in the United States would have been attacked and treated unfairly. I think that George Bush did what was right for Muslims in the United States.

  43. The author is trying to get a message out that Bush has been lying about major problems that occurred during his term in office. I think he lied because he did not want to make the situations look worse then they already were but in truth he was making things worse with each lie. I agree with what the author said because Bush was very unreliable and untrustworthy.

  44. I think that the author is trying to say (in their opinion) that Bush is a liar, and that the government in general lies. You can tell because his noes gets longer and longer with each line, and you know that some of those things were not true. I agree with the author, because I do not think Bush was very truthful with many things.

  45. I think the cartoonist is trying to say that Bush lied about what he was saying. I know that because they drew him as a 'Pinocchio' and made his nose get longer and longer. I agree with the cartoonist because I don't think Bush always told the truth.

I think the author is trying to say that the government is lying about so many things that maybe we shouldn't blindly follow them. I agree with the cartoonist because the government has really screwed up our school systems. Our classes are huge, our substitute teachers often don't know anything about the subject, and we're underfunded. Why should we trust them?

The author is trying to say that the guy in the picture (i think its president bush) was lieing about all the things he said, because just like pinochio, his nose gets bigger and bigger. The author is right because schools are constently leaving kids behind but I also disagree with the authors opinion because it doesnt mean that hes not trying to fix things.

I think that the author is saying that the man in the cartoon tells a lot of lies. I think the author is trying to get that message across to the rest of the world. I agree with the author on some of the points that he made. For example, in the cartoon, the man says that there will be no child left behind, and the author is trying say that the man is lying. There are many children and teens that are being left behind and are dropping out of school because of whatever circumstances they are in and you don'[t see many people trying to change that.

i think that the author is saying that some of the things the president is saying isn't completly true. like in polnekeo the wood boy that wanted to be real. that when he lies nose grows longer. yes i agree since bush has made some false accursations in the past

    ReplyDelete
  55. The author is tryin to say that president bush lied all the the times he said something to america. I agree with the author because president bush never spoke the truth like in the cartoon it states that there was weapons of mass destruction that Saddam had and it was not true.

  57. I think the author is saying that the issues involving weapons of mass destruction while bush was president were filled with lies becaus of the the mas nose growing longer, just like pinnochio when he told a lie.

  58. I think the author is showing that the character is lying because as he keeps on telling the false facts/statements, his nose keeps growing longer, until the last box where he finally realizes that he should stop lying and start telling the truth. The character is relevant to Pinochio because in the movie he learns to tell the truth unless he decided that he doesn't want to tell the truth which is the moral of the story.

The author is trying to say that the president was lying about all the things he was saying about Saddam. The author showed this by making the nose get longer in the cartoon because of pinocio, or how ever you spell it, and how his nose got long after every time he lied. I agree with the author because it didnt seem that the president was doing his job.
